Shrubs are essentially labour-saving and we now offer such a wide choice that with careful selection, your garden can provide continuous colour and interest throughout the year.

All the shrubs benefit from being properly planted in good soil in which peat, compost, bone-meal or fertiliser have been incorporated. The pots should be removed and they should be firmed gently and kept well-watered until they are growing well in your garden. This is particularly important during the spring when they come into growth.

To help you get the best out of your garden, we have given the approximate size they will attain in 10 years. By using these sizes, you will avoid planting incorrectly.
