CLIMBERS |
|||||||||||||||
|
Climbing shrubs are invaluable to soften walls and enhance fences. They keep house walls warm in winter, cool in summer and they add colour and interest to the garden throughout the year. They can climb a fence, over a pergola or up a stout post in a shrub border. Climbers are either self-clinging with aerial roots which attach themselves without damage to walls or fence or twining shrubs which need trellis or wire with which to twine. Some shrubs need support by tying them to a few well-spaced wires and in our descriptions we tell you of their needs. |
